In case you didn’t notice, I’ve been away from my blog for a while. Well, I’ve been here, checking stats and comments occasionally, but you’d never know that. I stopped by last night to check my stats, update my plugins, etc., and noticed I won a BLOG AWARD! Yay me! I love blog awards. It tells me people like my blog and that it is getting noticed. This is the first award this blog has won…so YAY!!! My personal blog, Being Who God Created me to Be, has won about 4 blog awards, but not in a long time. Probably because I haven’t been on there much lately either. I tell ya, Summer has kicked my blogging butt!!! And my weight butt too! Haha. Now that Summer is winding down though, I should be able to get back into the routine of things again and start blogging more regularly. ANYWAY!!! Onto the blog award!!!

My new blogging buddy, The Me Within, awarded me the Sugar Doll Award! I’m so honored! And in order to accept this award properly, I am supposed to name 10 things about me that most people don’t know. Yeah right! I’m an open book and if you follow any of my blogs at all, you probably know just about everything! But, I’ll try…just for you who are new to following my blogs and for those who need a refresher. Haha.

Here they are:

1. I was born and raised in New Mexico. No, it’s not a foreign country (its in the US) and no I’m not Mexican.
2. I was raised a Jehovah’s Witness but have since come out of that cult and am a born again Christian
3. I am a youth leader in my church and love teenagers (can you imagine???)
4. I have 3 grandkids, my fourth is due late September! I love being Nana!
5. I am addicted to black coffee. Yes, I love coffee and love it black!
6. I am a work at home “mom”. My kids are all grown, even though two of them still live at home. One is 18 and starting cosmetology school and the other is 25 and starting college as well….that’s another long story in itself.
7. I LOVE to play games, especially word games and card games! The more challenging the better!
8. I’m addicted to Facebook. I love the interaction it gives you and the connect-ability with others who live far away and that you haven’t seen in years!
9. My hubby and I have been married just 5 years. (It will be 5 years next month).
10. And number 10!!! I dream of being a missionary, going to third world countries like India and Asia. I’ve been to Nigeria Africa, but it wasn’t a “real” mission trip. It was different….that’s also a long story. Anyway, I love to travel and would love to go to Israel to walk where Jesus walked. I also want to go visit tropical places like the Bahamas, Bali, and the Caribbean.
