What I Ate Today

Since I started this whole low sugar thing, I think it’s a good idea to keep track of what I’m eating on a daily basis.

Breakfast:

  • 1/2 cup oatmeal – 1 sugar
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar – 4 sugars
  • 1 tsp cinnamon – 0 sugar
  • coffee, black – 0 sugar

Total – 5 sugars

Lunch

My famous tacos w/ pinto beans

  • Ground beef – 0 sugar
  • shredded cheddar cheese – 0.7 sugar
  • lettuce – 0.3 sugar
  • pinto beans – 0.5
  • flour tortilla – 2 sugars
  • salsa – 2.1 sugars
  • green chilies (cooked in the meat) – 0 sugar
  • jalapenos (mixed with the pinto beans) – 1.0 sugar
  • Aztec sugar free green tea – 0 sugar

Total – 7.6 sugars

Dinner

  • KFC grilled chicken breasts – 0 sugar
  • KFC mashed potatoes and gravy – 2 sugars
  • KFC green beans – 2 sugars
  • Diet Pepsi – 0 sugar

Total – 4 grams sugar

Snacks:

  • mozzarella cheese sticks (2) – 2 sugars

Total grams of sugar for today = 18.6

A little over my goal of 15 grams per day. I will try to cut it down better tomorrow.
