Saturday’s Eats and a Favor
Today was another pretty good day food wise. I usually don’t exercise on the weekends, so no workout today. When the whether gets warmer I will probably start walking more.
Breakfast:
- 2 poached eggs – o sugar, 0 carbs
- 3 slices lower sodium bacon – 0 sugar, 0 carbs
Total sugar – 0, total carbs – 0
Lunch:
- 2 Ball Park Franks – 3 sugar, 3 carbs
- black beans – 0 sugar, 19 carbs
- 2 slices muenster cheese – 0 sugar, o carbs
Total sugar – 3, total carbs, 22 carbs
Dinner:
- roasted chicken breast, boneless skinless from a Culver’s sandwich – 0 sugar, 0 carbs
Total sugar – 0, total carbs – 0
Snacks:
- organic corn tortilla chips – 0 sugar, 22 carbs
- Chi chi’s salsa – 1 , sugar, 2 carbs
Total sugar – 1, total carbs – 24
Total sugar = 4, totals carbs =46
So my sugar intake is good, well below the 15 grams, and my carb intake is below 50 grams and they are good carbs. I really like using Calorie Count because it gives the foods you eat a grade: from A+ down to F. I’m going to try to stick to more foods that are A’s or B’s. The franks are a big fat F and the muenster cheese is a D because of the fat content. Of course Calorie Count doesn’t use a low carb or low sugar diet as it’s guide, but uses the USDA’s food pyramid guide. But, still it gives me the information I need in order to calculate how what I need to know and is a good place to log my food and analyze it. I recommend it if you’re looking for a free, online diet tool.
