Weight Loss Progress Week 9
Well, it’s been 9 weeks already since I began my weight loss journey…again. I must say this time has been much more successful than last year and I’m still super motivated to stick with it!
Yesterday, I began Jillian Michaels – 30 Day Shred* and I must say, IT KICKED MY BUTT! Even level one kicked my bootie! But, I’m not giving up!!! It hurt and felt good at the same time. And if I lose 20 pounds in 30 days I will be so HAPPY!!! That will put me under the 200 mark and well into the 190s where I was 3 years ago or so…then I will keep going until I reach my goal of 140lbs. Woohooo! It will be so exciting to see that day
.
I’ve learned so much this time. I’m truly truly enjoying fruits and veggies more and eat as much of those as possible. I also am kicking my food addiction! I still have those times when I see food and think I must have it, or associate certain events with food, but not like I used to. I don’t feel like I’m missing out if I don’t eat a whopping bowl of ice cream after dinner anymore. I am thinking about my health and my weight and I don’t want to ruin the little bit of good I’ve done already. I feel great and some of my clothes are starting to get too big.
My two good friends, and fellow bloggers, Tishia Lee and Angel Williams and I are going “workout shoe” shopping next week. We are taking a trip to the town nearest us with a mall, Traverse City, to find some good crosstraining shoes. We all are working out and eating healthier and we all need good shoes in order to prevent pain and injury. So, it will be fun! A fun little reward
Let’s see, oh yeah, I wanted to post my progress stats again, but I will do it after the video. So watch the video and enjoy, then take a look at the stats below.

Total loss: -8.4 Yay!!!
So, how are you all doing? Oh, I should tell you, I’m still doing the 200 squats challenge, and the 200 situps challenge, just at a little slower pace. The squats were hurting my knees. Jillian Michaels does incorporate squats in her video, as well as crunches…if you’ve never done her workouts, she targets the entire body…I’m feeling it in my shoulders today, as that’s an area I haven’t worked on much.

Way to go Mary. Glad to hear you’re still motivated and enjoying your fruits and veggies
I’d enjoy my fruits & veggies more if they actually had some decent ones to purchase once in awhile! lol The cucumbers are super expensive & have been horrible!
Anyways – I was going to get the DVD (30 day shred) but I’m passing. I read your comment on Angels post about the squats and sit ups she has you do and that totally turned me off. had to give up the squat challenge because of my knees & I have enough of a problem with my knees just walking & doing exercise on the Wii. So for now I’ll pass.
Keep up the good work I’m proud of you
.-= Tishia – No More Plus Size ´s last blog ..Weigh In #11 =-.
Yeah Tishia, I would listen to your body if your getting pain….fo sho’! LOL. Well hopefully you will find something good that works for you. Honestly, in her workout, there aren’t that many squats or sit-ups. Maybe you could come over and try it with me and decide from there if you want to get it. It is a super good workout!!! And it’s fun and only 20 minutes! It goes by so fast. Anyway, let me know if you would like to do that.
Every time I stumble upon a good article I do three things:1.Show it to all the relevant friends.2.keep it in all my popular bookmarking sites.3.Make sure to come back to the same website where I came accross the post. After reading this article I am seriously concidering doing all three.
